This has to be the most gut-wrenching, heart-jerking scene I've seen in a war film. The score goes along with it perfectly. I am not ashamed to admit that the beauty of this composition caused emotions to swell inside of me I didn't even realise I had. Thank you Mr. Newman.

Had a privilege to watch this extraordinary movie about war, survival and friendship. Scenes are not overpowering and they are appropriately selected for the movie. Good acting with nice views of open country. Screenplay is topnotch. Highly recommended. The part were he reviewed the Arnie movie had me literally crying with laughter. Those people flying through the air after the grenade was too much lmao. I don't like you because you're unsafe Val Iceman Kilmer.

This needed to be pushed rather than stadia. I'm so interested yet I am barely hearing of it. Why because of unkown actors? It sounds like a good premise. The World War I film pulled an upset and took home the Golden Globe for Best Picture, Drama earlier this month, and also won the prestigious PGA Award for Best Picture this weekend. It snagged 10 nominations at the 92nd Academy Awards, and looks to be the front runner for the big prize on February 9. Directed by Sam Mendes ( American Beauty), who also co-wrote the script with Krysty Wilson-Cairns, 1917 stars George MacKay and Dean-Charles Chapman as two WWI soldiers tasked with a dangerous but important mission. Shot by famed cinematographer Roger Deakins, this film is wowing audiences because of the way in which it appears to be filmed in a single shot; in reality, though, it has hidden cuts throughout. That’s what we in the entertainment business call “movie magic. ” IS 1917 ON NETFLIX? WHEN CAN I STREAM 1917 ON NETFLIX? Nope! This movie was released in New York and Los Angeles on Christmas day in 2019, and opened wide on January 10, 2020. It is currently playing in theaters, but it’s not on Netflix. It’s also unlikely that the film will be coming to Netflix anytime soon because it is a Universal film, and most Universal films end up being shown by HBO after their VOD (video-on-demand) window. WHERE CAN I STREAM 1917? WHEN IS SAM MENDES’S MOVIE 1917 AVAILABLE ON VOD? WHERE CAN I WATCH 1917? You cannot stream 1917 right now, sadly. Do not fear, though, because 1917 will be on VOD eventually. We don’t know when that will be just yet, but it will probably be sometime around April 2020. Last year, Universal released Welcome to Marwen in late December, and then on DVD and VOD in April. So come April, you will most likely be able to purchase 1917 on Amazon, iTunes, YouTube, or wherever you purchase digital content. (You can also pre-order 1917 on Amazon, iTunes, Vudu, or whatever your favorite VOD platform of choice is, if you’re so inclined. ) If you’re hoping to catch the film before the Oscars, though, your best bet is to go to the movie theater.

Happy to see this actually became a movie. What a movie. I could do well making a (Top 5 movie) copy, say Kindler's List, or 1915- and use the same premise. but how inventive and creative would that be? Already proven to be exceptional, the SPR formula is a War masterpiece- but to call this movie an achievement, well, not really, as it's been done before. I like the movie, a lot. It just seems that folks making the big bucks in cinema today, should be paid to 'Innovate. not Imitate.

Anyone else come back to watch the trailer after witnessing the movie? Truly a masterpiece to the start of a new decade. ΧίλιΠΕννιÎκόσιΠΔεκÎεπici pour accéder. I'm excited for History Buff's review of this.
